Maribel, Nikko and their two adorable daughters celebrated a festive holiday-themed wedding in July, complete with glittering white and red winter accents and snowflake-decorated cupcakes.

After their ceremony, the wedding party was off in a white Hummer limo to Grant Park to capture photos at the Seven Bridges and along the shores of Lake Michigan. Then back to the hotel, where a guests and a Mariachi band awaited their arrival.

The action packed evening included an entrance in which the couple pokes fun at traditional gender roles by dressing up in “opposite” attire–the groom in an apron holding a broom and the bride wearing a cowboy hat and pretending to playfully whip him into sweeping the floor).

There was also the Mexican “Vibora del Mar” (Sea Snake) dance, in which a line joined by linked hands tries to knock over the bride and groom, perched above the dance floor and surrounded by a circle of people guarding them.

And of course, the dollar dance with a line of friends and family members waiting for a chance to steal a dance with the happy couple for a few moments. The evening was a beautiful celebration for the happy couple who were beginning a new chapter of their lives together.
