Kara and Tony celebrated their December wedding with an elegant event at historic Turner Hall Ballroom in downtown Milwaukee. The venue is such a beautiful spot, with tons of charm and personality in its details, from the rustic woodwork along the balconies and staircases to the sprawling stage where some of the hottest musical acts around have performed.
Before the ceremony, the couple did a first look near their hotel, then it was off the the War Memorial overlooking Lake Michigan for a few wedding party photos. Since it was zero degrees, we stayed inside for most of the day, except for one quick stop in front of the Harley Davidson Museum . The brave couple jumped off the bus for a few pictures in front of the iconic statue of Davidson doing a wheelie on his motorcycle. Then it was off to Camp Bar with their 22 member wedding party to warm up with a Old Fashioned in front of the fireplace.
It was a full day before the ceremony took place, a beautiful twilight event facing the ballroom’s sprawling two story windows overlooking the city, and lit by strings of bulb lights hanging overhead.
Acoustic guitarist Kyle Ferrick serenaded the party during cocktail hour, and the lively party danced the night away inside the historic venue.
